I then looked at the postmark on the envelope. It has what must be one of the earliest neck acls on a 7 up and it is also embossed 7 up on the other side of the neck plus it is embossed on the heel: That is the year that repeatedly comes up when researching this bottle. I am thinking 7 up started making this bottle in 1946.
